Drain repair works were carried out recently in Doddamma layout, Hulimavu. These drains had not been closed or even temporarily covered after the completion of the work. Residents had to place makeshift bridges over the drains to access their homes.
Finally, after months, the drains have been closed and a safe, accessible footpath has been made. Residents of Doddamma Layout are now relieved as they do not have to face inconveniences anymore. Such positive changes are an examples for other local administrative leaders, as well as the public, to seek inspiration from.
